Conference Tracks

Objective and Areas of Interest:

The 7th International Conference on Human Systems Engineering and Design: Future Trends and Applications (IHSED 2025)  will be held at Jurja Dobrila University of Pula, Croatia, September 22-24, 2025.

IHSED 2024  Conference aims to provide a global forum for presenting and discussing novel design and systems engineering approaches, tools, methodologies, techniques, and solutions for integrating people, concepts, trends and applications in all areas of human endeavor in industry, economy, government, and education, including but not limited to energy, transportation, urbanization and infrastructure development, digital manufacturing, social development, human health, sustainability, new generation of service systems, as well as safety, risk assessment, healthcare, and cybersecurity in both civilian and military contexts.

IHSED 2024 Conference will focus on advancing the theory and applications for integrating human requirements as part of an overall system and product solution, by adopting a human-centered design approach that utilizes and expands on the current knowledge of user-centered design and systems engineering supported by cognitive software and engineering, data analytics, simulation and modeling, and next generation visualizations.  This interdisciplinary conference will also expand the boundaries of the current state-of-the-art by investigating the pervasive complexity that underlies the most profound problems facing contemporary society today.

All submitted papers will be peer-reviewed by three independent referees from the International Editorial Board. Papers in the theoretical category should deal with theories, models, concepts, and structures; papers in the generic category should present research results of broad applicability; and papers in the applied category should show how research is translated into technological innovations for human systems engineering and design.

  • IHSED 5: Fashion & Textile Design for Sustainability and
    Better Life

This track entitled "Fashion and Textile Design for Sustainability and Better Life" aim to promote the exchange of ideas, methods, and processes aimed at the creation of sustainable textile and fashion products and which aim at improving human well-being oriented towards safeguarding and respecting ecosystems and greater integration between human, artificial and natural. The new paradigm "New Human / Nature relationship" traces the contemporary critical thinking that crosses the various disciplines that relate to fashion and textile design.

Design is proposed as an element of convergence of a series of inter, trans and multidisciplinary disciplinary areas, suggesting new conceptual, cognitive, communicative, and experiential paths, where products, data analysis paths, methods, and applications are designed, responding to users and their daily and future expectations. The designer proposes his specific mindset based on specialized skills, dedicated technologies, and multidisciplinary and resilient implementation methods. The multidisciplinary creative fields respond to the urgent need to improve users’ living conditions through the repair and regeneration of the general equilibrium of ecosystems.

This track proposes a collective and individual discussion on the material and intangible aspects of fashion and textiles, discussing the different opportunities and possibilities of a new paradigm for fashion and textiles, its sustainability, and the improvement of the living conditions of humans about contexts.

This track proposes different research topics, not limited to these:

An academic institution is an entity, such as a university or college, that runs independently from other like entities and has its own set of rules and business processes.
An industry is a group of companies that are related based on their primary business activities. In modern economies, there are dozens of industry classifications, which are typically grouped into larger categories called sectors.
A government is an institution entrusted with making and e nforcing the rules of a society as well as with regulating relations with other societies. In order to be considered a government, a ruling body must be recognized as such by the people it purports to govern.
